Dear College for All supporters,

I am writing this letter to say thank you for making our College for All trip a possibility. The highlight of the College for All trip was when me and all of the other 8th grade students went to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Another highlight of the trip was when we all went to Cal Poly. This was important to me because I wanted to learn more about other colleges. Another reason that this was important because I wanted to experience more of what it felt like to be on a real college campus. A third reason that this was important to me is because I wanted to interview real college students and getting to ask them a lot of questions. Thank you again for making the College for All trip possible for us.

Sincerely,
Noe Sanchez Jr.

Our area of study is family loss and abandonment. Family loss is defined as when someone dies from the family and abandonment is when people leave their loved ones. Family loss is oppressive because the family will just be shrinking in numbers until the whole family is dead and abandonment is oppressive because then the people that were abandoned won’t have anyone to take care of them. Husbands and wives are oppressors when a husband abandons his wife or when the wife abandons her husband. Abandonment is an individual form of oppression because it is hurtful for one person to abandon his or her family, cousins, and aunts and uncles.

Our community needs to donate money to homeless people so that they can buy new clothes or buy food so that they can eat. Our community should adopt homeless people so that they can a warm home in a safe neighborhood. Our leaders should create a program to save homeless people and save them from the streets of Oakland. We encourage the citizens of Oakland to do the right thing and save homeless people. Our community will be more joyful if homeless people are saved. We must save, feed, and take care of the homeless.

Without this type of oppression, people would feel happy because homeless people would have families to take care of them. When free from this type of oppression, homeless people would be thankful for having new families. Individuals will experience love, care, and compassion from families without this type of oppression. Individuals would be able to know their new families a lot more better. Homeless people could experience joy by having fun with their new families.

Noe's America

My America.
Yes, America is a gigantic country.
America is where I live.
Mostly it is peaceful and that is because
Every day is very quiet, just like the
Roaches climbing on walls, or maybe
Inside of a classroom where we all
Can listen to our teacher peacefully.
America is a very peaceful country.

College for all Essay

The world that I came from was a mom who works as an assistant preschool teacher,a dad who works as a butcher, and a little brother who is now in kindergarten. The one word that best describes my family is caring because my parents are always looking out for me and my little brother. One opportunity at my school is that the teachers can take students on field trips to see high schools and colleges that we would like to go to in the future. Another opportunity at my school is that we work on projects and then get to show them to other people at a school night called EXPO. A major issue that has been going on in my school is that students have been bringing drugs and weapons on campus. My role of addressing this issue is by telling a teacher, principle, or counselor so that they can know. By addressing this issue,it has turned me into an 8th grader who is constantly looking out for other people.I look out for other people because I want to make sure that people feel safe with the people around them.I chose to address this issue because people can get in big trouble or that someone could get hurt.It was the best solution for my school because students should deserve to feel safe at school.
The three most ideas of what college means to me is that I will get a good education,it will help me get the job that I have always wanted, and that college can help me learn many new things.College means a lot to me because one of my families’ personal struggles is that my parents have never went to college,so if I manage to go to college, then I will be the first person in myp family to go to college. This means a lot to me because then I will be the first person in my family that will get a good education and college degree in college. What I want to do in college to get a job is to learn a lot on the job that I want,so a way to do that is to go to a college that has something to do with the job that I really want. Some things I would like to learn more about are game designing, martial arts, sports, track and field, painting, graffity, drawing, wrestling, and swimming.

My Freedom Poem

Freeing ourselves from violence, fighting for our
Rights, and also for our free will.
Eeking our way through life isn’t easy, and that is why we
Ease our way out with other people to talk about our problems
Doing the right thing in fighting for liberation is always the way
Out of every problem instead of leading to bigger
Messes that can lead to fights, protests, and riots.

My Mask Poem

I don't need a mask to hide my feelings,
I let my body show them.
I let everyone see who I am.
I am a leader who makes good choices.
Trust me, I am not a bad person.

I don't need a mask to hide my feelings,
I let my body show them.
I tell every day to make good choices.
I try to teach people on how to be
a leader, not a follower.
My duty is to make everyone a leader.

I don't need a mask to hide my feelings,
I let my body show them.
You know that if you become a leader,
you will learn how to make good choices every day,
just like all of those good people out there in Oakland.
